Summary: It hurts Tosh to see her colleagues paired up.

A/N: Double drabble.




Tosh was beginning to feel like an unnecessary fifth wheel. Bad enough that Gwen, who already had a boyfriend she claimed to love, was now getting a bit on the side from Owen, but when Tosh had come back to the Hub after hours to get her glasses, which she’d accidentally left behind, she’d caught Jack and Ianto making out like teenagers on the sofa.


They hadn’t seen her; she’d used her PDA to temporarily turn off the cog wheel alarms. She knew every inch of the Hub’s security systems since she’d designed most of them. Nevertheless, not wanting to interrupt the two men she’d slipped away again, deciding she could do without her glasses for one night. Ianto was her friend and he deserved to find some happiness after everything he’d been through, but she knew he’d be embarrassed at being discovered in a… compromising position with their boss.


However glad she was for Ianto, she couldn’t help but feel disappointed for herself. Not that she was attracted to Jack, or Ianto, Owen was the one her heart yearned for, though he never noticed her. But now she was the only one who didn’t have anyone, and it hurt.

Yet another good reason to dislike Gwen for cheating on loyal Rhys. She never did get the comeuppance she was due. Tosh would never begrudge Jack and Ianto their happiness, but if Owen had the sense he was born with he would have seen what he was missing. I like think that eventually he did see sense, and they had some time together

Of course, I also think that Owen never cared about Gwen, just wanted to mess with her happy relationship. He wanted a convenient shag, something he never would have used Tosh for,
