Summary: What was that bright flash of light?
Disclaimer: I don’t own Doctor Who, or the characters.
The flash of light bursting in the dark sky was so bright it was dazzling. Clara blinked and rubbed her eyes, trying to get rid of the afterimages, not that it helped.
“What was that? Fireworks?”
“Can’t be, this is an uninhabited world. Nobody’s discovered it yet.”
“We have.”
“We don’t count; we’re just passing through.” The Doctor was still staring in the direction of the flash. “Might have been a signal flare. You know, a distress beacon, someone in trouble.”
“Shouldn’t we check it out then?”
The Doctor beamed at her. “I was hoping you’d say that! Let’s go!”
