BtVS Double Drabble: To The Death
Aug. 25th, 2021 05:08 pmTitle: To The Death
Fandom: BtVS
Author:
badly_knitted
Characters: Buffy, Angel / Angelus.
Rating: PG
Written Using: The dw100 prompt ‘Revenge’.
Spoilers/Setting: Becoming Part 2.
Summary: Buffy is finally ready to do what must be done.
Disclaimer: I don’t own BtVS, or the characters.
A/N: Double drabble and a half, 250 words.
Buffy loved him once, and in truth she still does, but it was Angel she loved, not the monster who wears his face. They might look alike, more or less, but there’s a hardness to Angelus’ face, a coldness to his eyes, and a scornful twist to his smile that she doesn’t remember seeing on the man she’d fallen so deeply in love with.
Angel had been kind, gentle, a tortured hero, but Angelus is evil, cruel, sadistic, existing only to hurt and maim and kill. He delights in the suffering of his victims and enjoys killing their friends and family as a warm-up to the main event.
Already he’s taunted her, leaving pictures of her on her bed while she was sleeping, proving just how easily he could get to her and her mom. He killed Willow’s fish, and then he murdered Ms Calendar, leaving her in Giles’ bed. Does he really believe she’ll let any of that slide?
If he thinks he’s weakening her then he doesn’t know her at all. Kendra is dead, Xander is injured, Willow is in the hospital, and Giles is missing. Buffy blames herself; she should have finished Angel back at the mall when she destroyed the Judge, but she wasn’t quite ready yet. Now she is.
This time she won’t back down. She’ll stop him from summoning Acathla, she’ll fight to the death, and it won’t be hers. The time for revenge is at hand; Angelus is going to pay, for everything.

Buffy: Me.
He really should not have asked that question.

You're welcome.:)

Date: 2021-08-31 09:56 am (UTC)It was toxic, at least until Spike got his soul. Buffy was deeply depressed and James Marsters said he was trumatised by that attempted rape scene he had to do as Spike.
Buffy never truly loved anyone but Angel. Spike was suppose to be a one off character. But for plot reasons, he was a useful one.

Date: 2021-09-02 06:06 am (UTC)Spike to Buffy: I know you'll never love me. I know that I'm a monster. But you treat me like a man.
If only Angel could have been turned mortal human without consequences. Similar to what happened to Leo on "Charmed".
