Summary: Persuading Jack to do his paperwork isn’t easy.

Jack stared in disgust at the pile of paperwork Ianto had just set in front of him.


“More paperwork?”


Ianto smiled blandly. “There’s only more because you haven’t done the last lot yet. If you had it would just be paperwork and not more paperwork.”


“Was that supposed to be funny? Because I can tell you right now, it wasn’t.”


“I was just pointing out a simple fact. If you got things done right away, they wouldn’t have a chance to pile up like this.”


“I really hate it when you always have to be right.”


“I don’t HAVE to be, I just am. Now, if you get all this lot finished by tonight, I’ll give you a treat.”


Jack narrowed his eyes and studied his lover thoughtfully. “What kind of treat?”


“Excuse me?”


“Well, if I don’t know what the proposed treat will be, how will I know if it’s worth the effort of doing all this paperwork? Because if it isn’t, then why should I bother working my fingers to the bone?”


Ianto rolled his eyes. “Fine, if you don’t get all this finished by tonight there won’t be any treats of any kind for the next month!”

Ianto always has the perfect answer. Jack knows that any treat from him will be worth having. The paperwork will certainly be done, rift permitting
