Title: Raining Tears
Author:
badly_knitted
Characters: Ianto, mentions Lisa
Rating: G
Spoilers: Slight for Cyberwoman.
Summary: Ianto watches the rain through the window and mourns Lisa.
Disclaimer: I don’t own Torchwood, or the characters.
A/N: For
red_day_dawning’s prompt ‘Rain against the window’
Sitting by the window, Ianto watched raindrops chasing each other down the windowpane, the way he used to as a child on rainy days when he wasn’t allowed outside.
The weather matched his mood; it seemed like the sky was crying, grieving for Lisa too. He’d cried for her until he had no tears left, just a hollow emptiness inside him where his heart had been.
He’d vowed to save her, but he’d failed.
A traitorous little voice in the corner of his mind whispered that there hadn’t been anything left of Lisa to save.
He wished it was lying.
The End

Date: 2014-02-22 11:38 am (UTC)Yeah, Lisa was a victim, just like everyone else at Canary Wharf. What rampaged through the Hub wasn't Lisa. Ianto is slowly coming to terms with that.
Jack understands losing someone you love and doing whatever you can to try and save them. He's also nearly destroyed the world himself, and for a far less noble reason, so he's more willing to give Ianto another chance.
Thank you.

Date: 2014-02-24 10:20 am (UTC)Not all the prompts I've got are inspiring happy drabbles, there are a number of sad ones to come. I'll space them out though.
Thank you.
