Spoilers: Nada, but set somewhere between End of Days and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.

Summary: Gwen and Owen are having a go at each other. Again. The others are not impressed.

Disclaimer: I don’t own Torchwood, or the characters.

A/N: Not my best work by any stretch of the imagination, but it’s all I can come up with for the prompt.

“You think you’re so special! Just because you have someone to go home to doesn’t make you better than the rest of us, just luckier,” snarled Owen.

“At least I have someone who loves me, I don’t have to get some stranger drunk just so they’ll sleep with me,” Gwen threw back at him.

Tosh sighed heavily and retreated to the archives, in search of more pleasant company.

“Hi, Tosh, what brings you down here?” Ianto asked, smiling.

“Our special snowflakes are squabbling. Thought I’d escape before they tried to drag me into it.”

Ianto rolled his eyes.

“Wise decision!”

I think you did a quite admirable job of it. Makes perfect sense to me. I love it.

That prompt fills my head with fluffy pictures of children and grandparents, and as lovely as they are, I don't think Janet and Myfanwy fit the bill. So, you had to move on to the human children in the Hub. Pick a pair, any pair. They could all fit the description at one time or another.

Thank you, I used the urban Dictionary definition of people who feel they're better or more entitled than everyone else just because of who they are, which certainly fits both Gwen and Owen when they're at their worst!

With Jack missing, I'll bet those two were butting heads the entire time, lol! No one there to put them in their place.

At least he admits to being a prat - or something similar! Gwen, on the other hand...

With Jack missing, there's no one to make them behave. Threats of decaf only go so far. At least the archives are a safe refuge in times of need!

When we have to choose between and honest prat who knows himself, and one who keeps hurting people with no understanding of her doing, if we are to take sides, we go with the first. But Tosh is right, and the archives seem a heaven!

Tosh has good sense. She didn't want to be asked to choose sides, Gwen would probably have accused her of siding with Owen because she fancies him so I don't blame her for taking refuge with Ianto!

LOL! "Special snowflakes" is a pretty good description of the two. Gwen seems to forget that she cheated on Rhys with Owen and she's playing holier than thou here. Gwen and Owen do seem to be a hard team to write. You did a good job here.

As Gwen is the embodiment of the term "special snowflake", this fits the prompt admirably! (Owen too, though at least he's aware his behavior is abhorrent. He just doesn't care enough to change it.) I imagine things get pretty testy indeed in Jack's absence!

It probably started out as an argument over who was in charge, and went rapidly downhill from there, lol! Tosh didn't want to be asked to pick a side, so sensibly got the hell out of Dodge! The archives are the safest place to be.

Hard to type a lovely feedback when all I(Owen and half of Wales)want to do is give the 'heart' of Torchwood a good smack up side her self centered smug self. Owen was a gentleman and didn't bring up the fact Gwen despite her waving Rhys around like a flag had no problem jumping into Owen's bed.
