Double Drabble: Squabbling Siblings

Title: Squabbling Siblings

Spoilers: Nada.
Summary: Jack and Ianto’s twins are fighting. The Flufflets are wisely staying out of it.

A/N: Double drabble.




Although Fluffs were, by their nature, peaceful, friendly, affectionate creatures, they were perfectly capable of defending themselves or their friends when threatened. Their long, furry bodies were immensely strong and resilient, their tail ends could be flicked with considerable force to disarm an opponent, and by coiling around the enemy they could render an attacker completely immobile. They were even capable of making themselves look like fearsome monsters.


None of those attributes were of any help whatsoever at present.


The twins were fighting, throwing toys at each other, rolling around, scratching, biting, pinching, and pulling each other’s hair. Although Gareth had started it, refusing to give up a toy his sister wanted to play with, Jenna was giving as good as she got, and their Flufflets had taken refuge under the sofa, where they couldn’t be used as weapons.


That meant it was left to their human parents to break up the fight.


Jack grabbed Gareth, Ianto grabbed Jenna, and as they prised the four-year-olds apart Jenna sank her teeth into her Taddy’s hand, and Gareth punched Jack in the nose.


Later, the Flufflets would comfort their charges, but for now they were happy to leave discipline to the humans.

Sensible Flufflets. Nothing worse than bratlings in a strop. Jenna will have to learn not to bite. and Gareth not to hit. Good luck with that one guys.
