Double Drabble: Storm Clouds

Summary: Ianto gets caught out in a storm.

A/N: Double drabble.




A few minutes ago there’d been warm sunshine and a few clouds drifting lazily across the blue sky like a flock of ragged, winter-worn sheep. Now the sky was getting blacker by the second as strong gusts of wind drove increasingly heavy storm clouds to blot out the sun’s warm rays. Heavy rain was imminent.


Ianto had lived in Wales almost his whole life, knew how changeable the weather could be, but that didn’t mean he never got caught out. Here he was, a good couple of miles from the SUV, where his overcoat and umbrella were. He hadn’t brought either with him; they would have been in the way as he chased the small alien that had come though the Rift.



It was alright for Jack, with his greatcoat and his cavalier disregard of weather conditions, but Ianto’s suit wasn’t waterproof. He was going to get drenched, and he had no idea where the alien had gone.



As the first heavy raindrops fell, Ianto took refuge in a recessed doorway; it didn’t provide much shelter but was better than nothing.


Something bumped his legs and he looked down as the alien squeezed in with him.


“Welcome to rainy Cardiff.”

Ianto will treat the alien kindly as it seems harmless. When Jack finds them he'll get them back safely. Then he'll treat Ianto VERY kindly indeed,

The alien has decided to throw in its lot with someone who knows what to do in this weather. When Jack finds them, if it's still raining he'll fetch the SUV.
