Summary: Everyone’s tired, and even Nosy has run out of steam.

A/N: Double drabble.




It had been a long couple of days for Torchwood, with no chance for sleep. Even Nosy had been working tirelessly, fetching and carrying for the team when they were in the Hub, and cleaning up after them while they were out in the field.


Now, finally, the pace of work had slowed. The last of the nasty little creatures that had come through the Rift had been rounded up and sent packing, back where they’d come from. Tosh was pretty sure the Rift portal they’d utilised would return the little monsters to their point of origin. Either that or possibly the vacuum between stars; she didn’t much care. The creatures had been like land piranhas. Seventeen people had been attacked and seriously injured.


“Everyone go home,” Jack ordered. “I’ll keep an eye on things here.”


The team didn’t need telling twice. Soon, only Nosy and Jack were left; Ianto had already gone downstairs to the room he shared with Jack.


“Tired?” Jack asked the Fluff, who was slumped on the concrete, looking deflated.


“Hm.”


“Off to bed then.”


Nosy didn’t move.


“Bed too far away?”


“Mmm.”


“You won’t be very comfy there.”


“Hfff.”


“I’d better fetch you some blankets.”

Everyone loves Nosy. Jack really values it, and is happy to look after it, knowing how hard it works. wish there was a batter word than it to refer to Nosy. Seems so cold and impersonal for such a lovely being.

Unfortunately, with Nosy being neither male nor female, it is what it is. But Jack will see to the Torchwood Fluff's comfort before going to join Ianto for some badly needed sleep.
