Summary: Jack and Ianto have both had a busy day.

A/N: Double drabble.




Jack groaned as he flopped down beside Ianto on the sofa in their lounge. It was good to be home.


“Tiring day?” Ianto asked sympathetically.


“Mm. Two blowfish decided to steal an ambulance and go for a joy ride. Then the Rift spat out a case of Retriffian Fire Brandy. By the time we got there after dealing with the blowfish, a bunch of teenagers playing hooky had found it and drunk half of it. On the plus side, they were so stoned they won’t remember being taken to the Hub for emergency treatment. And then, we were inundated by a pack of hungry space wombats! How was your day?”


“An endless round of feeding, changing, and bathing. Gareth managed to get the baby gate into the kitchen open while I was putting a load of laundry on. I got back to find him and Jenna on the kitchen floor, covered in flour. They’d emptied both containers all over themselves and the Flufflets. It took forever to clean up. I had to take Squiggle and Spot outside and brush them, so now it looks like it’s been snowing.”


Despite being immortal, between work and parenthood both men were permanently tired.

But they wouldn't change a thing about their home life. Still they'd be happy if the rift let up a bit.
