Double Drabble: Hanging Out

Summary: Nosy is just hanging about the Hub.

A/N: Double drabble.




All its friends were too busy with Important Things to play with Nosy, so it was just hanging around the Hub, trying not to get in anyone’s way.


It hung from the railing of the autopsy bay, watching Owen trying to determine cause of death of an alien that had been dead on arrival, but Owen told Nosy it was distracting him, so it went to hang out somewhere else.


It hung from the catwalk outside Jack’s office, dangling by its tail and gently swinging back and forth until Gwen, nose deep in a file and not watching where she was going, bumped into it, and sat down hard on the concrete floor, papers scattering everywhere. With an apologetic hum, Nosy helped gather everything together then went in search of somewhere out of the way to hang.


It dangled idly underneath the spiral staircase for a bit, until Ianto, bringing empty mugs down from Jack’s office, trod on a loop of furry body and almost dropped his loaded tray.


“SQUEAK!”


“Sorry, Nosy, didn’t see you there.”


Nosy sighed; in the way again.


Giving up on hanging around, it slunk under the sofa. It couldn’t possibly be in the way there.

Poor Nosy it does its best. I hope it knows that none of the team, even Gwen -are annoyed with it. It is just too loveable. At least it has found a safe refuge. None of them are likely to go crawling under the couch

Nosy doesn't completely fit under the couch, but it figures while its friends are busy it's probably a safer place to be. Once its own area of the Hub is ready there'll be somewhere it can play out if the way when its friends are otherwise occupied.
