Double Drabble: Sacrilege
Mar. 27th, 2021 05:59 pmTitle: Sacrilege
Author:
badly_knitted
Characters: Gwen, Ianto.
Rating: G
Written For: Challenge 649: Jar at
tw100.
Spoilers: Nada.
Summary: There’s something shocking in one of Gwen’s shopping bags.
Disclaimer: I don’t own Torchwood, or the characters.
A/N: Double drabble.
Since the Rift was being uncharacteristically quiet and there wasn’t much of anything going on, Gwen had nipped out to do a bit of shopping. Rhys normally took care of such domestic tasks, but he’d broken his ankle playing rugby and could barely hobble around at home using the crutches the hospital had given him. Going to the shops was out of the question.
Coming back into the Hub laden with bags, Gwen was relieved when Ianto appeared seemingly out of nowhere, offering to help.
“Thanks. I know I probably should’ve dropped everything off at home, but if I did that, I’d be stuck there the rest of the day. Rhys can’t expect me to do everything for him.”
Taking a couple of the bags, Ianto frowned. “Is that a jar of instant coffee?”
“Relax, Ianto; it’s for home, not for here. Rhys is like a bear with a sore head if he doesn’t get his morning coffee, and his lunchtime coffee, and his evening coffee…”
“But instant!” Ianto’s pained expression said it all. “Oh well, at least now I know what I’m getting the two of you as a wedding present; a coffee machine and some good-quality coffee beans.”
