Summary: Nosy sometimes regrets its lack of hands.
Disclaimer: I don’t own Torchwood, or the characters.
A/N: Double drabble.

Sometimes Nosy wished it had hands like a human. Until it had accidentally come to earth it hadn’t even known what hands were. None of the creatures native to its homeworld had them, and they all seemed to manage just fine without, but humans could do so many things that a Fluff couldn’t. Hands and fingers were some of the most useful appendages any creature could be blessed with.

Fingers meant humans could type really fast on a computer, while Nosy had to poke at the keys one after another. Hands could pick up all kinds of things and carry them, several at a time, while Nosy could only carry one unless it used its basket, and carrying that interfered with its ability to slither.

Hands and fingers could fasten and unfasten buttons and zips, tie neat bows in shoelaces and ribbons, put Lego blocks together and pull them apart, put together jigsaw puzzles with their flat, cardboard pieces.

And they meant people could scratch itches.

Most of the time.

Nosy watched in concern as Jack contorted himself, trying to reach the itch between his shoulder blades. There was nobody around to help him, except a Fluff with no hands.
