Summary: The Hub receives a very alien visitor.

A/N: Double drabble.




“Oh my God, what is that?” Gwen’s eyes went wide with horror as she stared, transfixed, at the… thing Ianto and Jack were escorting into the Hub. She’d thought she’d seen some outlandish creatures since joining Torchwood, not least of which was Nosy, the team’s friendly alien Fluff, who resembled a huge, furry snake, but this was something else altogether.


About five feet tall, it had short legs, long, muscular arms, shaggy greenish grey fur on its head, arms, and back, a bare and scaly chest, hands, and feet, and a face that appeared to mainly consist of a nest of wiggly olive-green worms with two bright yellow eyes peeping over the top. It was wearing a green and black striped kilt, and had a lumpy satchel slung over one shoulder.


“Relax, Gwen.” Jack grinned, enjoying her reaction. “This is Arrooochokk, she’s a Tarchuk, on a sort of diplomatic mission to earth. One of their sacred relics got sucked up by the Rift so she’s come to ask for it back.”


“We are, of course, delighted to restore it to its rightful owners,” Ianto added.


Jack turned to Arrooochokk. “Don’t worry about Gwen; she tends to overreact, but she’s harmless.”
