A/N: Double drabble.
It wasn’t even close to spring, but Dee’s eyes were already red and itchy, and he was sneezing his head off. Why’d their latest crime scene have to be a florist’s shop? It was one thing just dropping by to get a bunch of flowers for Mother, but a very different matter being stuck here for hours on end surrounded by every kind of flower imaginable, waiting for the coroner to arrive and remove the body, and the crime scene guys to show up and do their thing.
He was pulled out of his abject misery by Ryo’s voice.
“Maybe you should wait outside.”
“And leave you here alone? Anyway, we’re supposed to be doin’ a preliminary check for evidence while we’re waitin’, and two sets of eyes are better than one.”
“It’s not like you can see much of anything,” Ryo pointed out. Dee’s eyes were watering so much his vision was badly blurred. “There’s a pharmacy across the street; you could get something for your pollen allergy and ask if anyone there saw anything suspicious. We’ll have to talk to them at some point. Might as well be now.”
Dee smiled gratefully. “I ever tell you you’re brilliant?”
