Summary: Space travel can be extremely dangerous.

A/N: Double drabble. Set in my Ghost of a Chance ‘Verse.




Jack scanned the readouts on the control panel in front of him. “Oh, this is not good!”


“What’s happening?” Beside him in the co-pilot’s seat, Ianto turned worried eyes towards his lover. He knew something bad was happening, the Happy Wanderer’s alarms blaring out were enough to make that crystal clear even to a relative newcomer to space travel, but at present he had no idea exactly what the problem was.


“We’ve got a leak in the hull. Something must have got past the ship’s deflector shields, a tiny particle of space debris of some description. At these speeds it doesn’t take much. We’re losing oxygen.”


That was definitely not good; they were inside what amounted to a tin can, all alone in the vacuum of space, and they only had so much air on board. It wasn’t as if they could carry a backup supply.


Jack was busily sealing off sections of the ship to minimise air loss. “Get into a spacesuit and grab one for me while you’re at it. We need to locate the hole and patch it up before it gets too big.”


“And before we lose all our air.”


Jack nodded. “That would be preferable.”

Oh dear quite a problem. At least they'll come back and survive, but they must still worry

Wouldn't be fun coming back to no air, but they'll find the leak and fix it.
