A/N: Double drabble.
After checking the kitchen, boardroom, and archives, Jack finally tracked Ianto to the underground garage, where he was standing, hands on hips, frowning at the SUV.
“There you are! I was wondering where you’d gone.”
Ianto didn’t bother turning around. “Jack, exactly what happened when you and Owen went into the country on that retrieval yesterday?”
“What d’you mean? We drove out there, located the artefact, brought it back here for Tosh to look at. End of story.”
“Really? Nothing unusual happened?”
“Not that I recall. Why?”
“The SUV seems to have sprung a slow leak.”
“What makes you say that?”
Now Ianto turned, eyebrows raised. “Seriously? You have to ask? Look at it!”
Torchwood’s faithful black behemoth had developed a distinct list to starboard at the front, probably due to the tyre on the front driver’s side being flat as a pancake.
“Oh.”
“That’s all you have to say? I noticed the air in that tyre looked a bit low last night so I pumped it up, and this morning…” Ianto gestured at the SUV. “Those tyres are heavy duty, practically indestructible! What the hell did you drive over?”
“Who knew a few shards of flint could do that?”
