A/N: Double drabble.




Ianto smiled and shook his head; it looked like Nosy the Fluff was learning bad habits from Jack, staring at its refection in the polished surface of the water tower, turning this way and that as it studied its appearance and occasionally adjusting a tuft of fluff so it lay more neatly.


“You know, vanity really isn’t a becoming trait in anyone. You don’t have to spend ages on your appearance to be loved and appreciated.”


Nosy glanced round at its friend. “Hum?”


“Well, it’s your fur and your time to waste, and of course there’s nothing wrong with wanting to look your best, but you’re a Fluff, you’re meant to be fluffy. It’s a good look on you.”


The furry alien turned back to its reflection, studying itself critically. All its usually wayward fluff was sleeked down, making it look a lot thinner than it usually did.


“Hummm,” it murmured dubiously.


“If you want my advice, look the way you want to look, however you’re most comfortable.”


With a huff, Nosy fluffed itself up and gave its whole body a good shake until all the neatly smoothed fur stuck out in every direction.


“Hum?”


Ianto nodded. “You look perfect.”

Nosy like Jack looks perfect any way. It'll probably try different looks, but as Ianto says will always be loved
