Title: Reminder
Author:

Characters: The Doctor.
Rating: G
Written For: Challenge 459: Antique at [livejournal.com profile] dw100.
Spoilers: The Doctor Dances.
Summary: There are all kinds of things tucked away in the TARDIS, but some have special significance to the Doctor.
Disclaimer: I don’t own Doctor Who, or the characters.

The Doctor is a bit of a hoarder, but as his home is a vast space and time ship with countless rooms, what does a bit of clutter matter? It’s not as if he’ll ever run out of places to put the thing he collects on his travels.

He has technology from hundreds of worlds, interesting bits of sculpture, priceless artefacts, and lots of junk. Then there’s the library, crammed with books, many of which haven’t even been written yet.

Tucked away on a shelf somewhere is an antique gas mask, to remind him of a day when everybody lived.

The End

Who would of though that a gas mask could leave such an impression on the Doctor? :)

Harcourt: My leg's grown back. When I come to the hospital, I had one leg.
Constantine: Well, there is a war on. Is it possible you miscounted?

Yes. It was a great moment. After what happened in the last quarter of the previous episode. That bit was freaky!

After his transformation with the mask, I really needed that light relief part.

Moffat sure likes to scare children. That's his motto. Well, he scared this adult.

I still prefer scary kids stories over adult horror. There's only so much gore I can take.

That was all there was during my late teens at the cinema. I only watched it, or at least "try" to watch it, with my friends during the school holidays. I should have just said to skip it and do something else.

I'd rather a psychological thriller or mystery storyline that has a decent plot.

I also like to hear real life ghost stories. Particularly the one's by actors on chat shows.

I find gore too traumatizing. It takes me longer to get over it, compared to psychological thrillers and the like.

It's a trigger to my anxiousness I suppose.*shrugs*

Agreed. I'm just intrigued. Some real life stories should just be left as a documentary. I usually have to watch something light hearted afterwards to shake it off.

I see what you mean. A small news report is enough for me. The actress Minnie Driver, was in a musical/horror film. I didn't know there was such a thing. Anyways, she couldn't even watched her own film. But starring in it, was okay for her.

Yeah. Who wants to see themselves in that way? The background music probably isn't present until they edit it all. That makes things really scary for me. As I've mentioned in a previous discussion.

I guess I'd be a different ball game. Since they'd have the production team around.

*nods* It's good to have reminder of times when all went well; it might be rare even for him. 8)
