Summary: Jack is badly hurt.

A/N: Double drabble.



There was blood, so much blood, but for once Jack was still alive, still breathing, and he smiled weakly up at Ianto.


“Looks worse than it is; don’t think that thing hit an artery.”


“No, just half the bloody veins in your leg.” Ianto winced internally as what he’d blurted out registered on his brain. “Sorry. Shouldn’t have said that.”


“’S’okay.”


“It’s really not. I should get Owen, have him… do something.”


“No need. I’ll heal.”


“Before that thing comes back to finish what it started?”


Jack didn’t reply; despite the number of times he’d been injured, there was never any sure way of knowing how long he’d take to heal, and they had no idea where the alien creature that had attacked him had gone either.


“I know, stupid question.” Ianto looked around; dusk was starting to settle over the abandoned warehouses and at this time of year it would get dark fast. He called Owen and the rest of the team in before doing what he could for Jack; there was a dangerous alien on the loose and it needed to be dealt with as soon as possible.


The next person it attacked might not be so lucky.

Ianto really suffers when Jack is hurt even though he knows he'll survive. He also trusts Owen to take care of Jack and defend him if necessary. So he can help the team deal with the alien

Ianto wants to stay with Jack but there's an alien on the loose and dealing with that has to take priority. Owen will help Jack and they'll join the hunt once Jack has healed.
