Double Drabble: Moving House

Summary: Tosh wants to find somewhere to live closer to the Hub.

A/N: Double drabble.




“I thought you liked your house,” Ianto said when Tosh told him she wanted to move.


“I do, or I did, but since Mary…” It had only been a week since Jack had sent the manipulative, murderous alien into the sun and Tosh still found it hard to talk about her. Despite everything that Mary had done, tricking her into wearing the necklace, and threatening to kill her, what Tosh had felt towards the other woman, if she could be called that, had been genuine. It hurt that someone she’d been beginning to care about had betrayed her in such a horrible way.


“I understand.” Ianto knew after losing Lisa he couldn’t have returned to live in the flat they’d shared before the horrors of Canary Wharf. The memories would have been too painful. “So, any idea where you want to move to? I could help with house hunting if you’d like.”


“I was thinking somewhere closer to the Hub, and maybe a flat rather than a house.”


“Oh, if it’s a flat you’re after there are vacancies near me. It’s a good area, spacious flats, good natural light, short commute to work.”


Tosh smiled. “Exactly what I’m looking for.”
