A/N: Double drabble.

Meriel had barely left to catch the school bus when the front door to the flat burst open and she dashed through the living room like the hounds of hell were after her, going past Ianto so fast she almost knocked the coffee cup out of his hand. At eleven years old she seemed to be all knees and elbows.

“Hey, slow down young lady; where’s the fire?”

“Sorry, Taddy,” she called back over her shoulder. “I forgot to say goodbye to Nosy!”

She vanished through the archway leading to the bedrooms, where Nosy was supervising the Flufflets as they helped the Holy Terrors get dressed. The four year olds were fiercely independent, determined that they didn’t need their Taddy to dress them anymore. They’d come to him if they got stuck with something that was beyond their own or their Flufflets’ ability to deal with, but not until they’d tried everything they could think of first.

Moments later, Meriel was dashing past in the opposite direction.

“Bye, Taddy, see you tonight!”

Nosy might get a hug and a kiss, but parents apparently didn’t merit the same loving attention.

“Have a good day, sweetheart.”

“I will.”

So like her Daddy.

The End

At least she remembered Nosy. Lovely to see it supervising the Fluuflets. It will teach them well
