Title: Attacked
Fandom: FAKE
Author:

Characters: Dee.
Rating: PG
Setting: During the manga.
Summary: Dee finds himself regretting helping a trapped animal.
Written Using: The dw100 prompt ‘Tooth And Claw’.
Disclaimer: I don’t own FAKE, or the characters. They belong to the wonderful Sanami Matoh.
A/N: Double drabble.
Dee had always claimed he was a cat person, not a dog person; he didn’t like dogs any more than they liked him. Dogs were vicious, barking and biting and scratching; they could be trained as attack animals. Whoever heard of an attack cat? That was because cats were civilised animals, all soft paws and affectionate purring, while dogs were aggressive thugs.
The cat had been trapped, tangled up in netting, and being the kind, caring animal lover he was, Dee had naturally gone to the rescue. He couldn’t leave the poor defenceless creature like that, at the mercy of the weather, not to mention the local rat population. So he’d approached the scrawny little thing, making soft, soothing noises, painstakingly untangled the small, writhing body, and what had he gotten for his troubles?
The ungrateful little monster had attacked him in a whirlwind of teeth and claws, leaving him with both hands shredded and peppered with puncture wounds! Now here he was at the ER, receiving treatment; tetanus shot, antibiotics, and God only knew what else, all because he’d crossed paths with the most vicious cat in existence.
It had to be part dog; that was the only explanation.
