Summary: Martha is starting to have feelings for the Doctor, but they’re not reciprocated.

Martha does her best to quell her disappointment. Here she is, in the past, sharing a bed with an actual alien who’s kind of cute in a goofy sort of way, and all he’s interested in dong is sleeping, and solving a mystery.


When he’d kissed her back on the moon he’d brushed it off as nothing. He even apologised in advance, and yet… He’d invited her to take a trip with him in his time machine and she’d dared to hope he might be interested in her. Apparently not.


Trouble is, she thinks she’s falling in love with him…

If only they had incorporated some "girl talk" between Martha and Tosh.

I never brought Martha and Gwen as friends. I'm sure she would have got along better with Tosh. Gwen would have seen Martha as a rival.

For sure. I think Martha and Tosh would have more in common or at least have a far better topics to discuss. Tosh has met the Doctor. The conversation could have started from there.

Gwen is always such a know it all she would quickly have annoyed Martha. And if Donna had ever met Gwen... She would have been put in her place pretty quick, Donna doesn't stand for any nonsense from a Time Lord, so she could certainly deal with Gwen!

Yeah. Sometimes people seem alright when you've just met them. It takes time to get to know how people really are.

Donna: What are you talking about? Are you just talking rubbish? Do you know him or don't you?

Yep. Donna is pretty guarded towards people she has just met and is not sure of their intentions.

But then in Jack's case...

Donna: And who's he?
Tenth Doctor: Captain Jack. Don't. Just don't.

Also Donna wouldn't mind flirting with Jack. Even if nothing came of it.;)

Yeah, I wouldn't want anyone coming between Jack and Ianto, but Ianto doesn't mind people flirting with Jack, or Jack flirting back. He knows it doesn't mean anything.
