Summary: Owen is finally facing up to his feelings for Tosh.
Disclaimer: I don’t own Torchwood, or the characters.
A/N: Double drabble.
Tosh looked so small and fragile, lying in the hospital bed; she’d almost sacrificed her life saving Cardiff from a catastrophic nuclear meltdown. Owen hated himself for complaining about his own fate, never realising she was seriously injured and slowly dying even as she fought to save him along with the city.
If it hadn’t been for John Bloody Hart coming back to help, whisking Owen out of the control room before it could be flooded with irradiated coolant and bringing him back to the Hub… It was galling having to be grateful to the bastard who’d been at least partly responsible for the whole fucked up mess.
But Hart had saved his sorry undead arse, and because of that Owen had been just in time to prevent Tosh’s untimely death. She’d needed surgery, and blood transfusions, would be in hospital for a while, but she was going to be okay.
‘I was a fool,’ he thought. ‘I never saw what was right in front of me until it was too late.’
What could he offer her now? He was a zombie, easily damaged, unable to heal. Tosh deserved better, but Owen could no longer deny than he loved her.
