Summary: Ianto won’t leave Jack, no matter what his lover says.
Disclaimer: I don’t own Torchwood, or the characters.
A/N: Double drabble.




“Get outta here, Ianto,” Jack said firmly. “We don’t both need to be here. No sense both of us freezing our arses off.”


Ianto didn’t move. “I’m not leaving you, Jack.”


“Why d’you always have to be so stubborn?”


“If you don’t know the answer to that, there’s no hope for you.”


“I love you too, which is why you should go. It’s getting colder.”


“No it isn’t, you just think it is.”


Jack was slowly bleeding out; he wouldn’t last much longer.


“What if that thing comes back?” The alien that had done this was still out there somewhere. Ianto had shot it, several times, but it had run off. Hopefully the rest of the team would hunt it down and deal with it.


“If it comes back I’ll shoot it some more. I’m not letting it kill you.” Ianto ignored the fact that in a sense, it already had.


“I still think you should go.”


“Not until you can go with me.” Jack would die, and then he’d revive, and everything would be fine again, but until that happened Ianto was staying put. He loved Jack too much not to. “It’ll be over soon.”


“I know. Thank you.”

Ianto knows it comforts JACK to come back in his arms, and he's determined to do that for him, and as the one thing he dreads is that maybe Jack won't revive, he wants to know he was there for him at the end

Exactly. Jack wants Ianto safe, but Ianto needs to be there for Jack.
