A/N: Triple drabble.
“This is ridiculous!” Dee complained, slouching down further in his seat. “Why’re we even here?”
“It’s department policy,” Ryo replied distractedly as he got out a pad and pen, ready to take notes; he’d been listening to Dee moan about having to attend the seminar for days already. “Sexual harassment in the workplace is a big problem. A lot of female officers and staff have been subjected to various kinds of unwelcome attention from some of their male colleagues.”
“Not from me!”
“No, you restrict yourself to pawing at me.”
“What can I say? I’m a one-man kinda guy.”
“Try explaining that to the woman running this show,” Ted cut in. “I’ve heard she’s a real dragon.”
“Might be best if you don’t say that in her presence,” Ryo said, glancing back over his shoulder at his fellow detective in the row behind. “It probably counts as harassment.”
“Along with everything else. These days, seems like even tellin’ a girl you like her hairstyle counts as harassment.” Ted sounded as gloomy as Dee. “I don’t see why complimenting somebody should be a problem. How else is a guy supposed to let a girl know he’s interested?”
“I think this will be more about inappropriate touching and making suggestive comments,” Ryo told his partner.
“If this chick tells me I’m not allowed to pat your butt or drag you into the file room for a little smooch I’m outta here,” Dee vowed. “We’re a couple; we should be exempt.”
Ryo sighed. “Do I get any say in this?”
“Whaddaya mean?”
“Well, maybe I’d rather not have you grabbing my butt all the time at work. It sets a bad example, and it’s not exactly discreet.”
Ted laughed. “Poor Dee! Shot down in flames; now that’s gotta hurt!”
“You’ve got no idea!”
