Summary: It’s Christmas, and the Rift is apparently in a giving mood…

A/N: Part 9 of ‘The Twelve Days of Riftmas’.
On the ninth day of Christmas, Torchwood got a call about a disturbance in Asda; an entire checkout queue was doing the cancan.
Owen took one look and covered his eyes, saying something about being scarred for life.
Ianto had to agree. None of the ladies was under seventy; nobody needed to see that many pairs of bloomers on display!
Jack persuaded the dancers to form a conga line behind him and danced them into the staff area, while Tosh found the device responsible and switched it off.
All nine ladies agreed they hadn’t had so much fun in years.

Date: 2014-01-03 12:50 am (UTC)I did a story alternate universe for how Ianto joined up with Torchwood and Eleven came back to help him, risking the timelines, with Lisa. Eleven asked Jack to survive through when Ten shows up and the whole deal with the Master and I owe a sequel where Eleven comes back to seal the rift and then takes Jack and Ianto off as companions. I'll get to it one of these days.

I tried to explain the idea of a fan fiction story with Nigel to Mum today because we saw a house that would have had the perfect spot for him - if the layout of the house wasn't so small and silly - and that's what brought him up. Oh well, more houses tomorrow.

Date: 2014-01-05 11:11 pm (UTC)I have to do one more edit, then split the fic in two. There are a couple of places earlier in the fic that don't jibe with the ending. I don't want to change the ending, so I'll have to re-edit the earlier bits. The word count has gone up again, just a bit, but might come down again during the re-edit. Or go up more, lol! You never know with fics.
I'm happy with the story, so I hope you and Nigel will approve.
