Title: House Arrest
Fandom: FAKE
Author:

Characters: Dee.
Rating: PG
Written For: Challenge 199: Climbing The Walls at
drabble_weekly.
Spoilers/Setting: Vol. 2, Act 6.
Summary: Dee is going crazy, stuck at home and worrying about Mother.
Disclaimer: I don’t own FAKE, or the characters. They belong to the wonderful Sanami Matoh.
A/N: Double drabble.
Much as he would’ve liked to, Dee couldn’t deny he deserved punishment for what he’d done, even more for what he’d almost done. He’d come so close to killing his partner, the man he was falling in love with, and all because Ryo had gotten between him and the man he’d really wanted to kill, the bomber who’d almost ended Mother’s life.
Punishment was one thing; Dee could have accepted having his pay docked, being put on report, Hell, even sentenced to desk duty and forced to do paperwork until his head exploded from the sheer tedium, but house arrest? That was too frickin’ unfair for words! Three days in and he was already climbing the walls.
Funny how when he was working there were times he was almost ready to kill just to get a few days off. Now here he was, stuck at home and hating every minute.
He knew why; it was because of Mother. She was the closest thing to family he had, and she was lying in the hospital, all alone, fighting for her life. He should be with her, not sitting at home being driven mad with worry.
This wasn’t punishment; it was torture.
