Double Drabble: Defeated

Summary: Jack gets beaten at Naked Hide and Seek.

A/N: Double drabble.




“Ha, I win! Again!” Jack exclaimed as he threw open the door to the cupboard where the cleaning supplies were stored, knowing Ianto was there. Naked Hide and Seek was an art and Jack was the master; he never lost.


Only this time, when he entered the cupboard to claim his prize… no Ianto.


“Huh, I was positive he was in here,” Jack muttered, backing out and closing the door. He waited silently for a few moments before jerking the door open again, just in case Ianto had somehow been hiding behind the mop bucket; around Torchwood you could never quite discount such possibilities, but Ianto still stubbornly failed to appear. It was baffling.


Shutting the door, Jack stalked off to search elsewhere; he must have been mistaken even though he’d checked the CCTV. Maybe Ianto had slipped out again before Jack had got here, or maybe he’d hidden somewhere close by. CCTV was spotty hereabouts.


He still hadn’t found his lover when time ran out, and it irked him when Ianto’s voice rang out across the Hub.


“Are you ready to accept defeat?”


The Hub’s secret panels and tunnels came in handy when beating Jack at his own game.

Well as he tells us Ianto knows everything, even the Hub better than Jack. He's quite sneaky in his own way, and is every bit as good at cheating
