Summary: Ianto is not enjoying his physio sessions.

“Bend and stretch, and bend and stretch!” Owen stood before Ianto, smirking.


“You’re enjoying this WAY too much,” Ianto grumbled, wincing.


“Yep, I have a sadistic streak.” Owen gave Ianto an evil grin.


“Makes me wonder if you actually went to medical school at all or just signed up for a class on advanced torture techniques.”


“It’s called physiotherapy, although I suppose it amounts to the same thing. Just remember: No pain, no gain. If you want to get the full range on motion back in that knee you have to do your exercises. Now bend and stretch!”


“Slave driver!”

They are rather, they bicker a lot, but they do care about each other. Owen will do whatever he has to in order to motivate Ianto to work at his exercises.

That would have been cool to see them in an alternative universe living together. Driving each other crazy.:)

Considering they basically swapped clothing styles. Owen use to wear suits, while Ianto wore more casual clothing.*thinks of flashback to them both meeting Jack for the first time.

Owen had to dress well as a doctor at a prestigious hospital, while Ianto was deliberately putting the wares on show to convince Jack to hire him. Suits are Ianto's more natural wear, he would have worn them at Torchwood One, he'd just thought dressing more sexily would get Jack's attention. Turns out Jack really likes the suits, lol!

I was curious to know more about Owens past. It was sad that he was as a Doctor couldn't save his then beloved.:(

It was so sad, but ordinary doctors can't handle alien problems. at least with Torchwood Owen had a chance of helping others in similar situations.

Ianto would make a great fashion model!

Gwen: Do you miss being a doctor?
Owen: Excuse me, I still am a doctor. I just don't deal with patients any more, that's all. It's ideal. That was the bit I always hated.

Owen rather had deal with dead people, then engage in conversation with others. Probably felt uncomfortable with breaking serious bad news to patients family members.

It made him an ideal candidate for Torchwood though. Otherwise Owen would have probably had a relatively "normal" life without a higher purpose. It's about making the most out of a bad situation.

Someone else would be serving Ianto coffee instead.:)

Owen is a bit like Gregory House. He wants to be a doctor, but patients are annoying. He's not much of a people person.

Ianto's the one who makes and serves the coffee.

Pretty much. At times I feel out of depth dealing with certain people in person. But I go about it in a different way.

Gregory House: What's the opposite of thankyou?

My mum was a regular viewer of "House". Sometimes, I'd watch it with her.

No one could make coffee like Ianto.:)

Yeah. People who knew House, would just filter his "insults" and look beyond that. How else could he have relationships?

I wish I could drink coffee that was made by Ianto. I bet it would be very nice.:)

More squabbles, but Owen will do his utmost for Ianto, who knows that and trusts him, so will follow orders, just not with a very good grace for a while, until he sees it working

Owen knows how to motivate Ianto. Verbal sparring is all part of is method. Get Ianto annoyed enough and he'll work harder just to spite Owen.
