Strolling across the Hub to make coffee to go with the team’s lunch, Ianto stooped to pick up a stray scrap of paper and drop it in the bin.


“Y’know, as your doctor I should point out that’s really not good for your back. If you want to pick something up off the floor you should bend your knees,” Owen pointed out.


“I’m aware of that,” Ianto replied mildly, stooping to scoop up another bit of rubbish, depositing that in the bin too.


“And yet for as long as you’ve been here you’ve always bent at the waist.” There was curiosity in Owen’s tone. “Is there a reason or are you just being contrary? I mean, if you’ve got problems with your knees you should tell me. Might be something I can do.”


“My knees are perfectly fine, thank you.” Ianto threw a smirk Owen’s way. “It’s just that bending at the waist has a far more interesting effect on Jack.” So saying, Ianto once again bent double, this time to re-tie his shoelace.


Sitting on the sofa, Jack managed to bite his finger instead of his sandwich, his attention riveted on Ianto’s arse.


Owen laughed. “You’re an evil man!”
