“Ianto, help!”


The pathetic wail drifting from Jack’s office was fast becoming a familiar occurrence, but far from grumbling, Ianto simply abandoned what he was doing and went to the rescue. Over the last couple of months Jack been getting increasingly clumsy, and being heavily pregnant meant he frequently got himself into situations he couldn’t get out of without assistance.


Hurrying into the office, Ianto couldn’t help smiling at the sight of Jack wedged half under his desk. “Now how in the world did you manage that?”


Jack gazed forlornly up at his husband. “I dropped my pen, and I didn’t want to bother you because I know how busy you are. I thought I could get it myself so I leant out of my chair, but I knocked the pen further under my desk, and then the chair moved and I slid off, and I managed to get my pen but now I’m stuck in the knee hole and I can’t get up. I’ve been trying for the past ten minutes!”


Moving the desk chair out of the way, Ianto carefully extracted Jack from under the desk and got him comfortable again.


“I’m never too busy to rescue you.”
