Title: Worse Than Death
Author:
badly_knitted
Characters: Jack, Alien, Ianto.
Rating: G
Written For: Challenge 601: Insult at
tw100.
Spoilers: Nada.
Summary: Jack is having a bit of trouble with the alien he’s trying to catch.
Disclaimer: I don’t own Torchwood, or the characters.
A/N: Double drabble.
This, Jack decided, was just adding insult to injury. Bad enough he’d been accidentally killed when he’d slipped in something deeply unpleasant and broken his neck, but to return to life as the alien he’d been chasing tried to bury him like a dog burying a bone for later…
Leaving aside the fact that just thinking about being buried alive again terrified him - he still hadn’t fully recovered from his almost two thousand years interred beneath Cardiff - he resented being looked at as some sort of snack. That was the trouble with animals; a sentient alien would most likely have been drawn to him because of his charm and good looks, but to this mutt he was little more than roadkill.
So, before it could finish filling in the shallow hole it had dug for him, when it turned around to check whether he was well enough buried he punched it in the nose.
He could have sworn its eyes crossed as it gave a muffled yelp and fled.
Jack dragged himself from the hole, pulling a disgusted face at the mud and other stuff smeared on his clothes. Despite already dying once today, Ianto was sure to kill him.
The End
