Summary: The falling snow isn’t filling Ryo with joy, but Dee doesn’t seem bothered by it.

A/N: Double drabble.

Outside the snow was falling thick and heavy, already piling up on the sidewalks and cars. Ryo sighed gloomily. If it kept up it didn’t bode well for his and Dee’s commute in the morning; they’d most likely need to leave home early in order to get to work on time. Even if they took the subway they’d have to walk to the station and there was no guarantee the trains would be running on time because like the roads, the sections of rail above ground would have to be cleared so the trains could get through.

Arms slid around him from behind and a warm nose nuzzled the side of his neck. “Why the gloomy face, babe?”

Ryo leaned back into Dee’s embrace. “It’s snowing.”

“I can see that. It’s beautiful.” Ryo could hear the smile in his lover’s voice.

“It won’t be so appealing come tomorrow when we’re trying to get to the precinct.”

“If it’s still snowin’ in the mornin’ we’ll deal, just like we always do. Why worry about it beforehand? Right now we have the whole day all to ourselves and no place we have to be. Let it snow; we’ll keep each other warm.”
