Windows internet explorer 9

A word of advice about Windows Internet Explorer 9:

AVOID IT LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!!!!

It's complete and utter crap - I wound up with it on my computer and couldn't do anything with it that I normally do, it took me the best part of an hour to find a way to get rid of it again! Thank god for restore points.

New does not automatically mean 'better'. *hugs old version*

that's why I use firefox.

firefox is another browser. if you do a search for firefox in google, you'll come up with a link to download it. it's freeware (free to download). I have version 3.6 but I'm on a mac. Sam, my hubby, uses both Firefox and Google Chrome (google's web browser) for work. I've used both, but I prefer Firefox. I'm used to it, and comfortable with it.

I use Internet Explorer at work, and there's no tabs, it's slow and from what i've heard IE9 is ridiculous. Half the websites aren't compatible. I work in a government call centre and about 1/3 of the calls we get are from our customers calling to say they can't access the website anymore when they log in - and it's because they've upgraded to IE9 and we have to tell them how to make it compatible. Stupid Microsoft.

I'm like that. It took me years to stop using Microsoft Word Processer. I'd still be using it if my beta could open the files on her computer. My point - I hate change, and I'd been using IE for years.

But the last version I had kept freezing up and shutting down on me. I uploaded the patches to fix it but it didn't work. So I bit the bullet and downloaded Firefox and it's brilliant! Seriously, I Googled it, just hit a button or two and it's was on my computer, ready to use. And there are all kinds of cool apps you can use with it. :)

May I recommend Google Chrome? I've been using it for a while now and I absolutely love it to pieces. :D

I am jumping on the 'Google Chrome is GREAT' bandwagon.

I cannot stand using IE any more, and have set all my "default browsers" to Google Chrome - for some unknown reason, I just cannot deal with firefox... But yeah, Google Chrome is great. :)

*also throws in a vote for Google Chrome* I've been using it for a while and for me, it's been great. :D

Firefox is my friend! Never had an ounce of bother with it.

Ooh. Workmen. Are they hot? ;p

I was inspired by this post! I thought i was the only one having problems with IE9. I finally threw my hands up and downloaded Firefox because IE9 kept giving me problems whenever I tried to download photos or post to my journal. I've only had Firefox for about a day and I'm loving it so far. I only had to download the latest version of Flash Player so I could better access my e-mail. Otherwise, so far so good.

I've got IE8 on my main PC and still IE7 on my laptop. Shall I tell you something? IE7 still works a lot better!
