Double Drabble: Watching Ianto

Summary: Jack has more than one reason to keep a close eye on his new employee.

A/N: Double drabble.




As Ianto Jones moved around the Hub, picking up rubbish, collecting dirty mugs and plates for washing, sweeping up dust and dirt, gathering reports for filing, Jack watched his new employee openly. Why shouldn’t he? The young Welshman had worked for Torchwood One. True, according to his file he’d been nothing more than a junior researcher, but he’d still been in Yvonne Hartman’s employ, which for Jack was reason enough to keep an eye on him.


Torchwood Tower was gone now, rubble and ashes, while most of the people who’d worked there were dead, either exterminated, deleted, or converted, but Hartman had always wanted to get someone inside the Institute’s Cardiff branch so Jack felt justified in being a little suspicious.


Besides, watching Ianto was hardly a chore; he was a very attractive man, and if while watching Jack chose to speculate what might be underneath that smart suit and crisp shirt, what of it?


Someday, if he played his cards right, maybe he’d get to see for himself explore that long, lean body, become intimately acquainted with every inch of smooth, pale Welsh skin, but for the moment he had only his fantasies to keep him warm at night.

So easy to empathise with Jack's fantasies. Nobody as gorgeous as that when I was working though we did have a librarian who was the living double of Illya Kuryakin, at a time when Man from Uncle was all the rage. He was good natured enough not to mind the nickname. Loved the episode of NCIS when Gibbs was asked what Ducky looked like when younger, and replied Illya. David McCallum was a honey then.

David is still pretty cute, but I'll admit I had a huge crush on Illya way back when. I still think he's gorgeous =D
