Hearing the doorbell ring Ianto answered it, expecting it to be Jack, having forgotten his keys again, but there was nobody there.


“Hum!”


Ianto looked down in surprise. “Nosy?” What was the Fluff doing outside? Hadn’t it gone to the Hub with Jack this morning? As much as it loved spending time at home with the baby and whichever of its humans wasn’t working that day, Nosy liked to visit the Hub for a few hours every week to make sure its other human friends were okay; it didn’t want them feeling neglected.


Nosy slithered past Ianto into the flat, making straight for Meriel’s crib to greet her. Ianto could hear his daughter’s happy squeals and gurgles at seeing what she probably considered her third parent. Bemused, he closed the door and started down the steps into the living room.


The bell rang again.


Sighing, Ianto retraced his steps, opening the door to find Jack standing there, weighed down by a huge box.


“Why’d you shut the door? I sent Nosy ahead so it would be open when I got here!”


“Sorry. What’s that?”


“Just some stuff I ordered for Meriel. Had it delivered to the Tourist Office by mistake.”

Should have given Nosy a note to give to Ianto.Good idea of Jack's, but alas the Fluff can't speak, though it communicates well in other ways

A note would have been a good idea, but Jack doesn't tend to think of things like that, lol!
