A/N: Double drabble and a half, 250 words.
Ryo sighed tiredly; some days just had ‘disaster’ written all over them. Maybe it had been his own fault, trying to take on too much when he was already tired from a busy week, but he only had one day off and he was so far behind with chores…
He’d stripped and remade the beds first thing, before even making himself a drink, then trekked down to the basement and put two loads of laundry on. Going back upstairs, he’d fixed himself a quick breakfast of toast and coffee, before heading out to pick up groceries, only to realise he didn’t have his wallet.
Back at home, he’d turned the apartment upside down looking for it before he remembered he’d been so tired the night before that he hadn’t emptied his pants pockets when he got home, the pants that were now in the washing machine. He could already imagine the cracks Dee would make about a cop laundering money. The only saving grace was that his phone and keys had been in his jacket pocket otherwise they’d be suffering the same fate as his wallet and credit cards.
Now the apartment looked like a bomb had hit it, and he’d have to wait for the laundry to finish before he could retrieve his wallet and see if anything was salvageable. If he had to get his cards replaced he’d be without money until the replacements arrived.
He wondered if he dared ask Dee to loan him enough for groceries.
The End
