Jack was all smiles as he led the team back to the SUV after saving the world from imminent disaster yet again.


“Good work, everybody! We showed those pesky Lurgolans! They won’t try invading earth again in a hurry.”


The would-be invaders had fled with their tails between their legs after Jack had challenged their leader to single combat and finished the brute with a bullet through the head. After all, he’d said nothing about it being unarmed combat; Lurgolans were big and aggressive, but not terribly bright.


“And yet still we get slapped with a parking ticket,” Ianto sighed.

Pragmatic Jack knows when to handle things harshly. If the people of Cardiff knew exactly what Torchwood really does, especially the police, there'd be no parking or speeding tickets.
