Summary: School’s out for summer so shouldn’t Bikky be happy?

A/N: Double drabble.
“What’s got you looking so mopey?” Ryo asked as Bikky slouched into the apartment, dropping his book bag to the floor and slumping onto one of the kitchen chairs. “I thought you’d be happy now that school’s out for the summer.”
“Yeah, but…” Bikky heaved a sigh. “Carol’s aunt’s taking her to Spain on vacation; they leave tomorrow. I won’t see her for three whole weeks!”
Poor Bikky; for a kid his age, three weeks was like a lifetime.
“You can still email each other,” Ryo reminded his foster son.
“I know, but it’s not the same. I don’t know why she wants to go there anyway. Doesn’t it rain a lot? You know, ‘the rain in Spain’…” Bikky trailed of and Ryo hid a smile.
“From what I’ve heard, summer in Spain is quite hot and sunny.”
Bikky scowled up at Ryo. “I didn’t need to hear that. I’d rather it rain every day so Carol will wish she hadn’t gone.”
“You don’t mean that.” Ryo sat down at the table across from Bikky.
“I guess not.” Bikky gave another sigh. “She’s really looking forward to it, she’s been taking Spanish at school, it’s just…”
“You’ll miss her.”
“Yeah.”
