Summary: Donna has suffered one indignity too many, and she’s not taking it lying down.
Disclaimer: I don’t own Doctor Who, or the characters.

Horrified about the latest in a string of indignities, Donna was building up a fine head of steam.

“Look at me! I’m covered in… whatever this stuff is!”

“It’s…” the Doctor started.

“Shut it, Spaceman! I don’t even WANT to know; I just want it off me, pronto! You’re gonna be payin’ for this, let me tell you! My clothes are ruined, and my hair… I look like I’ve taken up mud wrestling!”

“I’ll have you know this stuff is highly sought after for its beautifying properties,” the Doctor protested. “You’ll be thanking me later.”

“Don’t count on it, Sunshine!”

It sounds like the stuff is smelly by the way Donna is putting up a fuss.

Funny that you mention bathing in it; besides the mud, people do actually bathe in the Dead Sea and claim it cures just about everything. Personally, I didn't like it "live" much, and would not recommend going in there with any open cuts or sores. You definitely should not ingest the water, as it's poisonous (bromides). I do like putting some of the salts in my own bath, and using their mud products for calloused feet (as my other comments show).

I suppose so; I just really didn't like that you couldn't put your feet down. It scared me to the point of screaming and hubby had to drag me back to the rails where I could lift myself out. The salt is so dense there you can't sink because you can't put your feet down... no control.

Ooh... is it Dead Sea mud?

Pure Dead Sea mud has a distinct sulfurous & bromide odor to it, and is very black (rather than the normal brownish of mud). People swear by it, though. I use a cream formulation with Dead Sea mud for my feet; it's wonderful for keeping them smooth and soft.

Oh, the product I use doesn't have an unpleasant smell, just a bit earthy. I actually like the smell. Every time I go to Israel I stock up!
