A/N: Double drabble.
“You do know you’re nuts, don’t ya?” Dee said, jogging alongside his partner. “I mean here you are, day off, and what’re ya doin’? Runnin’, that’s what! You could’a slept in until noon, but instead you get up at the crack of dawn to come out here. Certifiable!”
“So what does that make you? I thought I left you in bed, and yet here you are, running right with me.”
“Only for a little way; you may be out of your mind, but I’m not. I wouldn’t be runnin’ at all, just it’s the only way I can talk to ya seein’ as ya won’t stop. Seriously, what’s this in aid of? You don’t figure ya do enough runnin’ on the job?”
“I’m in training.”
Dee laughed. “For what? The New York Marathon?”
“Exactly.”
“Huh?” Dee stumbled, tripping on his own feet, and only just managed to stay upright. “You gotta be kiddin’ me!”
“It’s no joke, Dee; it’s something I’ve always wanted to do, so this year I’m gonna do it.”
“I was right, you’ve totally flipped! D’you even know how long a marathon is? A helluva long way!”
“Wouldn’t be a marathon if it wasn’t,” Ryo pointed out.
