Summary: Sometimes Bikky feels like his life revolves around his foster father’s strict rules.
Written For: Challenge 005: Permission at sesquidrabbles.

A/N: Drabble and a half, 150 words.




Bikky wasn’t used to having to ask for permission to go out. His real dad had been out so much of the time that he’d learned to look after himself from the age of seven. He’d gone wherever he wanted whenever he wanted, which had often meant skipping school.


Ryo was different; he expected Bikky to go to school every school day, and the rest of the time wanted to know exactly where he was going, who with, and when he’d be home. That was a problem because Bikky didn’t always know.


It was hard to remember to ask if it was okay for him to go somewhere, and sometimes Ryo would tell him no, that he had to stay in and do his homework. That was another thing his real dad had seldom bothered about. Was this better? Seemed his life was all rules now, with hardly any freedom.
