Stitching Updates

I've been a bit remiss about posting updates, got a bit carried away with the stitching, so here are the last two pictures. I'm on to the back stitch now, which is going to take a while, but it's already looking good. The only back stitch on these pictures is around her eyes.

Gorgeous, love the colours. Well done you! One of these days I'll get around to sending you some pics of the ones I've finished (if I can remember where I put them - me thinks the hall cupboard which I shudder to delve into! No matter how mum and I pack things neatly in there, you can be guaranteed the second you go to move something everythingfalls out on top of you!)

Wow! The before and after pics are great!

Just a minor difference between the two and yet striking.

Well, quite a big difference since I hadn't finished the cross stitch on the first one. The top of the lady's head and half the roses was yet to be done, as well as her eye.

Now for all the rest of the back stitch, which is very intricate and will take some time. That's when she'll really come to life. Got quite a way to go yet before she's finished.

It's good having a record of my progress, I think I'll do this more often, especially with the more complex designs. She'll be completely transformed once the back stitch is done.

I've got cupboards like that. You really have to get your nerve up to risk touching anything, lol!
