Setting: Early in Vol. 1.
Summary: Ryo is finding his new partner’s behaviour extremely confusing.
Written For: Challenge 5: Attention at doubledrabbles.

A/N: Double drabble.
Ryo isn’t used to all this attention, especially not from a man. He’s not the kind of guy women flirt with, or not that he’s noticed, but here he is, first day at his new precinct, and his very male partner is hitting on him. At least, Ryo thinks he is; maybe he’s mistaken and Dee is just one of those guys who doesn’t understand the concept of personal space.
But as the days pass, if anything Dee gets even more attentive, using any excuse to get right up close and personal. Sometimes he doesn’t even bother with an excuse. Ryo’s not sure what to make of his new partner’s behaviour; how’s he supposed to react? He’s still not completely certain Dee’s flirting, or that he’s serious. Maybe this is some kind of newbie hazing ritual…
When Dee kisses him full on the mouth then tries to pass it off as a thank you for saving his ass, or maybe a welcome to the team, Ryo finds himself more confused than ever. Maybe he should talk to the Chief about Dee’s behaviour, but then he might get assigned a different partner, and Ryo doesn’t want that.
He kinda likes Dee.
