Title: Muck
Author: [livejournal.com profile] badly_knitted
Characters: Donna Noble, Tenth Doctor, The TARDIS.
Rating: G
Written For: Challenge 274: Mat at [livejournal.com profile] dw100.
Spoilers: Nada.
Summary: Bad weather has made Donna and the Doctor decidedly mucky.
Disclaimer: I don’t own Doctor Who, or the characters.

“Ick!” Donna pulled a disgusted face as she squelched her way towards the familiar blue box. When she and the Doctor had gone exploring earlier they’d left the TARDIS parked on a hillock, which was fortunate because since then torrential rain had turned the surrounding land into a quagmire.

The mud was ankle deep, thick and sticky; by now Donna was heartily wishing she’d worn boots for this excursion rather than trainers. Maybe her feet would still be dry. She baulked at the doorway, looking from her muddy feet to the TARDIS’s pristine interior.

“Time you got a doormat, Spaceman!”

The End

Remember when Eleven told Clara off for wetting the TARDIS floor with her umbrella?

Thanks for a nice read.:)

That's why it took me a while to warm up to Clara. Calling the TARDIS "a machine".*frowns*

I think the feeling was mutual in a sense that the TARDIS didn't let Clara feel welcome. *Silly mysterious backstory*

Same to you! :)

It's all in accordance to when a show is scheduled. Some decent shows get canceled because the timeslot keeps moving or they change networks.

While some shows which some say are overrated go on for far longer than expected because it coincides with decent ones. I've done some research on this topic.:)

But yeah, money is the incentive for the big bosses.

Sometimes it takes a dedicated fanbase to keep a show going or wait for a revival.

Anyway, my mum ask me to Goggle the original "Hawaii 5-0", so she could show me the differences between that one and the new one.:)

I haven't seen the original Hawaii. All I know is that the main difference is there's a female lead. Plus one of the actors is Australian.

I've only seen a few random episodes. It's supposed to be connected to NCIS: Los Angeles which I try to watch.

The only silver lining with a show cancelling is when actors move onto more successful projects.

I didn't get a chance to watch Firefly but
Nathan Fillion did "Castle", even if it lost abit of its spark towards the end.

Adam Baldwin finally did a role that wasn't a typical bad guy on "Chuck". I noticed him as the token bad guy in alot of other shows like in "Bones".

So that was refreshing to see him as one of the good guys for a change.

I think Summer Glau is an underrated actress. At least they went back and did the movie Serenity.

Like they did with Veronica Mars. Fans need closure for cancelled shows.

I can't record anything on TV so therefore I see random episodes so it's hard to get invested. But I do appreciate banter between the character's. I sometimes end up watching repeats of BONES instead.

Too bad the finale of Castle was rushed because the producers didn't know if they were coming back. I couldn't imagine the show or the character without Kate though. Stana Katic was leaving regardless. I missed the part where they introduced Haley.

Summer Glau is a trained dancer so I don't understand why her agent doesn't get her more roles? She played herself on "The Big Bang Theory".

I can understand why some actors end up venturing into other jobs when they either get tired of the business or can't find any parts.

Which kind of reminds me of my job search efforts.

I think there are more opportunities to get more roles in British TV. At least for the locals. I've seen the same actors in multiple roles.

Usually an actor has to have started young in the entertainment industry for exposure. Sometimes its a matter of ahem...looks.

David Boreanaz was spotted by an agent when walking his dog. He wasn't even going for an acting job!

It's like Claudia Schiffer who got a modeling career after being discovered in a nightclub.

If only job searching was that easy for me!

I know what you mean. It happens in Hollywood too. When they're not acting, they're presenting or hosting an event of sorts. That's how it usually goes.

I guess if they're successful enough, they go to university for a degree or do charity work. Maybe write a book. It depends on what they're passionate about.

Yeah, it's a gamble. No wonder parents of said actors are warily about it, until proven otherwise.

Matt Leblanc had only $12 dollars in his bank account before success on the show FRIENDS. I guess they keep at it until the choice is made for them.
