Disclaimer: I don’t own Torchwood, or the characters.
A/N: There were so many great theories in the comments for the first of these that I just had to write this. I’m sure everyone will recognise their own ideas, so I’ll just say a big thank you to all who contributed; without you, this third part would probably not exist and you’d all be left wondering!
The team sat around the boardroom table, discussing Nosy’s colour change.
“Okay, what theories do we have?” Jack asked.
“It changes colour at will for camouflage.” Ianto was sticking with his original idea.
“Faded due to poor diet.” So was Owen.
“It fades in sunlight?” suggested Andy.
“In Wales?” Ianto’s eyebrows were getting a good workout.
“Maybe it’s moulting,” said Tosh.
“Doesn’t seem to be,” Mickey grinned. “I’m sure Ianto would’ve noticed.”
“It likes Sesame Street; maybe it’s copying Kermit,” Gwen giggled.
Under the table, Nosy listened, amused.
‘Green shows up. I don’t get stepped on,’ it thought with satisfaction.

Date: 2013-08-31 12:31 pm (UTC)I thought of some Nosy jokes just for you:
What do you call a fuzzy alien who moves really fast? A runny Nosy!
What do you call a sleepy fuzzy alien? A dozy Nosy!
What do call a children's game when a fuzzy alien plays it? A Ring Around the Rosy Nosy?
(Ok, I'll go back to my padded room now, LOL).

Nosy can be whatever colour it wants, there's always a chance it'll turn purple!

Date: 2013-08-31 02:50 pm (UTC)Yes, Nosy was deliberately camouflaged when Ianto fell over it. People kept shooting at it, so it hid itself, figuring it would be safer and only ventured forth at night, grazing among the sheep. I think Owen was probably a little right as well and that Nosy can be brighter colours on a good diet, maybe even change colour faster when well-nourished. In the Hub, I imagine it just kept adjusting its colour until it felt confident that all parts of it were clearly visible to everyone, then stuck with the most effective shade, lol!
Thank you.

the hypothese of Andy! lol, Nosy often goes out?
Fortunately, it seems that Nosy not moult! Finally, I hope! otherwise poor Ianto.
