Oct. 21st, 2018 04:31 pmTitle: Stumped
Fahdom: FAKE
Author:
badly_knitted
Characters: Bikky, Ryo.
Rating: G
Setting: Early in the manga.
Summary: Bikky has a problem with his homework
Written Using: The tw100 prompt ‘Illustrate’.
Disclaimer: I don’t own FAKE, or the characters. They belong to the wonderful Sanami Matoh.
A/N: Drabble and a half, 150 words.
Sitting on the floor beside the coffee table, Bikky stared at his homework and slumped. “I can’t do this! It’s not fair.”
“What isn’t?” Ryo came over and sat on the sofa.
“The teacher wants us to illustrate some of the different ways money can be raised for a good cause.”
“That doesn’t sound too difficult.”
“But I’m useless at drawing! Even my stick figures come out all wonky, I’ll never get a passing grade!”
Ryo laughed. “It doesn’t mean you have to draw them, Biks. In this context, ‘illustrate’ is just another way of saying ‘give examples of’, so you just need to write a bit about each example.”
Bikky frowned up at his foster father. “Then why didn’t the teacher just say that? I’ve been worrying about this all day!”
“Next time you get homework you’re not sure about, maybe you should just ask your teacher.”
“I suppose.”
