Doctor Who Drabble: New Style

Spoilers: Any hat-wearing Eleventh Doctor episodes.
Summary: The Doctor is tired of people making fun of his hats.

The Doctor can’t understand it; why is everyone against his choice of headgear? He likes it, the colour and the tassel; fezzes are cool, but nobody else seems to agree.


A trip to America gives him the opportunity to try another kind of hat; it’s very different from his fez, but checking himself out in a mirror he likes what he sees. Stetsons are very cool and it goes down a little better with his companions, but he still feels they’re judging him. So unfair!


Well, let’s see how they like his new style. What’s cooler than a bobble hat?

I know, it was too bad that we didn't see Donna with Eleven. Catherine Tate would have only stayed longer if David Tennant did.

The closet we got was Donna interacting with the metacrisis Doctor.

Yes, I was always sorry we got such a short time with Donna. I think she would have sparked well off Matt Smith.

I will always remember Donna going, "Don't you ever change?"

One episode of Eleven and Donna would have been nice. No wonder there is fanfic and fanvids based on them meeting.

Catherine Tate and Matt Smith meet once, that's the closest we will ever get.*sigh*

Donna did when he almost er...did. Rose had to explain it. She was crying because she didn't know what the heck was going on.

I'm surprised Donna didn't try and slap Ten, when he survived the regeneration.

Oh, I know. It would have taken away the "Rose is back" moment.*refers to RTD being bias

She was probably still in shock, plus busy becoming the Doctor Donna, I think she can be forgiven for overlooking the need to slap Ten ;)

Yes, I remember that bit. Rose was as bad when Nine was regenerating into Ten though. Scared, confused, etc.

RTD's bias towards both Rose and Gwen is legendary. He makes them more important *(in his mind) than the actual stars of the shows.

Donna only got physical with him when she needed to snap him out of his ramblings.

The Doctor leaves it to a former companion to explain the regeneration. Nine mentions it briefly and Rose had to deal with whatever was unfolding.

She cried abit later when she was with her mum and Mickey.

The biased characterisation was annoying at times. I'm not sure if RTD was trying to use reverse psychology on us viewers or what!

I guess when he's regenerating the Doctor has other things on his mind. He probably had to concentrate in order to heal himslf and send the excess energy into his spare hand.

I doubt it though, RTD always seems to think his favourite characters are just so perfect.

Like knowing your dying yet becoming another version of yourself. So scary. Although I noticed the regeneration isn't as dramatic as it was before. It's so quick, like "poof"!*makes dramatic hand gestures*

Yeah, who knows what's going on inside his head.*shrugs*

Perhaps the dramatic parts of regeneration happen behind the scenes now.

Busy thinky thoughts all the time, that's the Doctor!

In old who, you wouldn't know when the regeneration was going to take place. Now theres "it's going to happen at this time and the actor will be replaced by so and so".

Maybe it's too expensive or theres a budget cost?*theory*

These days the internet spreads entertainment news so quickly even if they tried to keep it under wraps they wouldn't be able to.

There could well be financial reasons, all those special effects cost money and take time to create.

True. It just makes us viewers anxious in a different way than before. Sometimes shows film more than one finale to keep things hush hush.

I think there has been some auditory changes.

It really does make it anti-climactic. If you don't like the spoiler of a show in general, it makes it more disappointing. Gosh, I sound negative.*conflicted*

It's true though, if you know what's going to happen it's not going to seem so important to watch. I don't want to know ahead of time.

Most fans would agree, even if they don't like what they end up watching.

I didn't realise that the original cast of Airwolf aren't in the fourth and final season. Everything changes except the helicopter. Dom is dead, String might be, Caitlin is just gone... I'm not watching any more =(
